Soooo.. my boyfriend has gone home for the night.. ((which is weird because he usually spends every waking moment by my side..)) I'm kind of at a loss of what to do cuz I've never had THIS MUCH free time to myself at home... lol sad, yes, but sometimes he can be a bit needy if you get my drift.. you don't? Ohh.. well, let me fill you in;)
((This is just a little info about me.. Just bc I want to let the whole world know what my life is like.. I feel like it's kinda interesting, but eh.. i guess everyone does.. haha..))
I was always the girl that was kinda the black sheep.. Ever since I was a youngin', my grandmothers & aunties would tell me I was chubby & compare me to my sisters..
When I started school, I was always the "black girl" --which is super hilarious bc i'm not of african-american decent in the least (no offense intended, btw)-- & the chubby, shy girl.. I remember these two girls laughing at me one day at recess.. They were twins & had blonde hair & blue eyes & always wore the right clothes & all the boys liked them.. One day they asked me to play with them &, like the gullible little girl I was, I accepted their invitation... However, to my surprise, they ditched me & went back to their friends in the corner & pointed & laughed at me.. I recall running away & trying not to cry in front of them but as soon as i got to the bathroom stall, i let it all out....
Another funny incident happened after a rainy day.. I went to play kickball cuz there were some new boys that moved in around the corner It was like that for a couple of years at that school... i had some friends, but most kids kinda just looked at me funny because i was a different color than they were -- plus, we lived in holliday sooooo there weren't many brown ppl over yonder..
When I turned 8 years old, i was baptized @ the tabernacle:) it was sooo exciting! a couple months after that, mum & dad told us that we were going to be moving.. it was hard because around that time, our grandpa that we stayed with was getting sick.. we stayed there until he passed away a couple of weeks later then moved to our new house..
The new place was kinda like the old one, in that we were still pretty much one of the only brown kids in school but it was a little better bc we got to go to school with our cousins.. but hey! we got our own rooms!! Yayyy:)
This new school was nice too but me, being a tomboy, liked to play kick ball & whatever else i could do to show the boys up.. ((don't ask me why i did.. it was my father's fault.. lol..))
i played kickball with this group once & there was only one or two other girls that were playing, so i thought i'd try to show off my awesome skills & play.. i was outfield first & lucky me, the first pitch gets kicked to me so i run to catch it.. to my utter disappointment, i drop it!! ach:( it was so horrible.. lol.. after that, the kids called me "Butterfingers".. that only lasted one play.. then we were up to kick & when my turn came, i wanted to get rid of the stereotype they'd so quickly put me in.. i told the pitcher to roll it really slow so i could get my speed up.. i wound up & BAM! it was outta the park!! it was sooooo great:) everyone on my team was impressed & they all patted me on the back for a job well done.. **lol i just realized that sounded like i was their pet horse or something..** anywho, i can't really think of anything else to write about my *amazingly interesting* childhood so i think i'll stop right there... comments? concerns? questions? lol.. hit me up:) i'd be happy to share another, but for now that's the happy ending.. until next time i decide to be so informal with my life as a little tomboy.. lol..
